We’re currently in Taiwan, where we had the pleasure of meeting with TPAVI (Taiwan Parents' Association for the Visually Impaired), a dedicated NGO working to improve educational services for the visually impaired. During our visit, TPAVI showed strong interest in Dot’s assistive technology—especially the Dot Canvas feature. This functionality enables complex Chinese characters to be instantly and accurately transformed into tactile graphics, a breakthrough that was met with enthusiastic feedback from the TPAVI team. 👏✨ We’re excited about the potential impact of the Dot Pad in Taiwan’s educational landscape and look forward to building meaningful collaborations to empower more learners through inclusive technology. 🙌 #DotPad #TPAVI #DotCanvas #Taiwan #Braille #Education

CSUN 2025 Wrap-Up 🔥 What an incredible week at #CSUN2025! A conference full of innovation, brilliant minds, and a shared commitment to accessibility, inclusion, and community. I’m coming back energized and inspired to keep pushing forward in this space. 🤝 Finally met so many people in person! After years of virtual connections, I had the chance to meet Steven Scott, Molly Burke, Saqib Shaikh, Robin Spinks and many others. Nothing beats those face-to-face conversations! 🎥 Recorded eight videos—stay tuned! This year was packed with meetings—partners, clients, colleagues, and collaborators—so I didn’t get to record as many as I had hoped. But I did manage to capture eight, which I’ll be sharing in the coming weeks. 📢 Presented the State of Assistive Technology session with Dr. Bryan Wolynski, discussing key trends and exciting innovations. I’ll be posting a short recap soon. 🪅Had the “Smart Mobility” panel from SightTech Global reunion. It was the first time that all of us got together in person. 🎉 Helped launch the Dot Pad D3! Along with Ali Long and the Dot Incorporation team, we organized the Dot Pad D3 launch party. The turnout was incredible—we almost ran out of room! The excitement around this revolutionary Braille display was amazing to witness. 📱 Spent time at the BlindShell booth! After several years of not being in a booth, I had the chance to demo the new BlindShell Classic 3. It was a great reminder of how much I enjoy engaging directly with the community. 🦯 Congrats to the WeWALK team on the Smart Cane 2 launch! I didn’t get enough time with them, but I happened to be there when Stevie Wonder stopped by to try it… and he loved it! 🗣️ Envision introduced Ally, my new virtual best friend. This personal assistant, available across multiple platforms, made navigating CSUN effortless. I just asked, and she provided the information in a simple, conversational way. A fantastic example of designing for accessibility in a way that benefits everyone. 🤝 Collaboration is the future. Some of my most exciting conversations this week were about partnerships between companies. This is a key trend in AT right now—one we discussed in our session—and I can’t wait to see where these discussions lead. ⚡ Buzzing with energy, but taking the weekend off! Looking forward to keeping the momentum going next week. See you all soon! #Accessibility #AssistiveTechnology #CSUN2025 #Innovation #Inclusion #TechForGood Robin Spinks Saqib Shaikh Molly Burke Sam Seavey Steven Scott Alison Long Jan Šimík Karthik K.
